Because Plusnet don't own the phone lines, and have no access to the
phone lines.
You should have contacted BT *first*, since you have said your phone
line was also "noisy". It was always likely to be a fault on the phone
line, and it is only BT (or your local loop supplier if not them) who
can deal with those.

Well all you have actually done is shown that some Plusnet customers
are totally clueless and ridiculously rude.
You haven't really given us any insight into Plusnet, and if your
attitude to them has been anything like the attitude you have shown in
this thread, I am sure they will be VERY pleased when you ask for your
MAC code.
