Is powerline networking an option for you? It generally fits your
stated budget, or pretty close.

There are networking kits that adapt coax to Ethernet and
seems to be exactly what you need. Amazon lists several
choices click the see all results button. Google is also
your friend as there are many hits. The only problem is
cost. $100 is too low a price.
