Probably not. I ditched netgrear as an option because it doesn't talk snmp..

Doesn't on any of the ones I have access to..

Cant even telnet into em.

mrtg will do nearly everything you might want, once you know the MIB
layout of the router, and if you want instant stats, and have apache and
basic scripting you can use snmp to interrogate and make up a web page
for almost anything you can read via snmp.

But I would dearly love to know which netgear you have. None of the ones
I have access support snmp, telnet or anything.

Enable telnet using http://router_LAN_address/setup.cgi?todo=debug

Eg: http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug

then:

# telnet 192.168.0.1

BusyBox v1.00 (2008.11.17-03:13+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

# help

Built-in commands:
-------------------
. : alias bg break cd chdir continue eval exec exit export false
fg hash help jobs kill let local pwd read readonly return set
shift times trap true type ulimit umask unalias unset wait

#

Ah.

That makes sense, but I am not close enough to the router to upgrade it...

Why these blasted router people cant simply give us snmp by default, is
beyond me.

OK only one in a hundred wants it, but at least it would be there.

If you left the web port open, you could do it over the 'net, but I'm
sure you know the risks...
