Thrown off from Eternal-September for harassment, abuse and forgery, he now hides
behind AIOE.

Unfortunately, he's still forging headers, so remains cancellable.

After extensive research, there is no article in the Basingstoke Gazette.

This whole story appears to be fictional and malicious.

If you are as fed up with it as everyone else, there is probably a case
for legal action against the poster.

I'm involving Police for harassment, as I believe him to be local. Using
anonymizing posting hosts doesn't help though.

Makes no odds to me, and makes no difference to the majority on here.

I'm not fed up with it, you speak for yourself please.

All it would take is for Mr Cummins to deny the allegations.

So far he has not done so.

Well, I'll speak for myself as being one who is getting just a little
fed up with reading continually-repeated posts on this newsgroup which
have fuck-all to do with telecom or broadband, and which are, bizarrely,
supposedly posted by the person that is being attacked. My brain hurts...

I doubt that the allegations would stop in such circumstances.
The "allegator" would in all probability just contradict such a denial
and persist with his or her repetitious and anonymous/munged posts,
boring us all further.

> So far he has not done so.

So what? If I were to post an allegation about Victor Meldrew, would you
(or perhaps Richard Wilson) post a denial? And would anyone believe you
(or Richard) if you did?
Mind you, it's a bit difficult, if not downright impossible, to dig the
dirt on someone who posts with a handle such as yours.
Enlighten me, please, "Victor" - is there any valid reason why you
should post with your pesudonym rather than your real name?
I'm struggling to find a reason why I shouldn't continue posting under
my own name and email address - it's done me no harm so far.
(Awaits flames, viruses, worms, etc...)
;-)

George

While my email address has changed, my name (and sig) has been the same for years.

"VicMeld" appeared in 2009/10. Strangely, about the same time that someone
registered a few domains at an address in Warner Close, in Basingstoke.

I was not referring to you, Paul, but to 'Victor Meldrew', who doesnt
have the courage to give his real name.

I know - I was merely supporting your point.

I understand the story is true, Paul himself has admitted that. Whilst I in no way whatsoever condone his behaviour I must say that
from my perspective he comes out of this current discussion with more dignity than his starker.

What does this person expect to achieve anyway? the whole idea of the concept
behind Megan's Law and Sara Law is that offenders like Paul stay on the radar.
Paul has kept the same internet persona as he always has had. Doesn't that mean
he is less likely to re-offend than if he was driven underground?
It seems to me that's what this annoying person wants.
