Yes. You need to top up the S2 - which will give you 150MB of internet
access for free (times out after 90 days if not used). When you've used
that, you need to buy internet access add-ons - using some of the 3Pay
credit which you bought when you topped up. Whether it is more economical to
buy a month's worth for £5, a week's worth for £2.50 or a day's[1] worth for
50p will depend on your usage pattern. If you need to use it every day, then
clearly the £5 for a month option is the best bet. If your use is only
occasional (like if you're away form home for a few days every month and
only need it then), one of the other options may be better for you.
[1] By all accounts, a 50p 'day' lasts from when you buy it until midnight
on the *following* day - so, if you need it for a weekend (say), you can
make it last from Saturday morning until Sunday night
