It works, so don't worry. The icons are pretty dressing, though you can
right click or hover on them if that shows anything useful.

It's when they disappear that you'll know something's up.

A week ago the world disappeared and all our existances were replaced by
multiple vmware sessions running in some alien planet's computer the
other side of the galaxy.

Everything is still "working", so don't worry about that. Just be
respectful to the mice.
