Note - This was also Posted earlier in Server General.
Current Win 2003 Server Configuration:
5 Server CAL's and TS Licenses.
Server is set up on a per device basis.
Intel Pro GB Lan Connection on MB.
D-Link 10/100 Lan Card.
D-Link 8 port GB Switch.
5 WBT Thin Client XP Pro embedded work stations.
Thin Client stations have RDP connections to via Cat5E to Intel Pro GB Lan
through the D-Link GB Switch. No Problems here.
Wireless internet connection from ISP through combo wireless/wired D-Link
Router connected to 10/100 Lan Card via Cat 5E through GB Switch. No
Problems here.
Attempt to access server with a XP-Pro Laptop configured with a ethernet
RDP connection through the GB Switch using the GB Lan connection IP address
fails. Cannot Ping Server. Only Three of the thin client workstations were
turned on and connected during this attempt.
Need to be able to connect at site and remotely via internet. have been
unable to do either. Suggestions ?? Or where can we find detailed
configuration instructions for server and clients?
Thanks,
Jay F
