IIRC rdesktop is a GTK+ front-end for tsclient. Or vice-versa. Just do :
tsclient <ip address> to connect, or perhaps : rdesktop <ip address>.
You may be confused, this is only for controlling a Microsoft Windows
NT4/2000/XP Terminal Server A.K.A Remote Desktop. This could either be a
Win2K Terminal Server, a Win2K normal server running in TS Admin-only mode
(no special licensing required - handy if you need to run e.g Sage Accounts
from linux), or an XP Pro machine with Remote Desktop enabled. It is not the
other way round (you can't control the Linux machine from Win2K using this -
for that you have either VNC, or a Win32 X-Server, or Tarantella from those
cunts who shall not be named)
HTH
p.s. the Password thing for rdesktop *does* work contrary to popular belief.
It's a Group Policy setting on the TS which says to 'Always prompt for
password' that has to be turned off if you want slick automation. Password
is sent cleartext though AFAIK.
