I have a very weird problem, I will first state that I am running VMWear
virtual server, both servers are 2003, fully up to date. Server1 is DNS, DC,
Server2 is a member server running ISA.

I can RDC to server1, i can ping and RDC to this, no problems, and all I did
was enable it in the system properties section.

I cannot RDC or ping to server2 however. I can use it directly, I have
checked the network connections which are static, they re fine, I have tried
the registry entry and also enabled it in the remote section of system
properties but I still cant connect. But then in saying this, I cant ping it
either but I have no idea why.

Any ideas,
Thanks
Chris

Can you telnet the server2 port 3389? I think the ISA block the port 3389.

No I get a Unable to connect message. I dont think ISA is the problem since I stop the ISA firewall from inside ISA and it still does it.

Could it be a terminal server problem, or maybe because its not a
Domain Controller like Server1 there are other things I need to do.
Server1 connects to the network via a bridged connection in server2.
Server2 is my front end firewall, it has 2 Nics which are bridged 1
connected to network (internet) other connected to server1 (internal)
could it be the fact i have a bridged connection that is preventing
it...although i think i disabled that and it still didnt work...any
idears anyone? its anoying as i often like to work remotly in other
rooms in the house on the laptop instead of always at my comupter

Thanks
Chris
