A Windows 2003STD server running RAS with DHCP/DNS/WINS. RAS is setup only
using one NIC and remote users can connect to it via Windows VPN. All remote
users are Windows 98SE clients. The internet connection at both sides are
DSL and there is a Sonicwall at the server side allowint PPTP traffic through.

The problem I am facing is that once one user connects to the 2003 server
via VPN and a second user attempts to connect - it kicks out the first user
and so on.

Remote users are on a different IP schema and are able to browse the remote
network once connected via the VPN.

Thanks!

The only times I have seen this, the problem has been at the client end.
Are the client machines behind a NAT router? Some SOHO NAT routers will only
allow one VPN connection to be made through them. They don't give you any
warnings and they are not consistent. Some just reject the second attempt,
some kill the existing connection and establish the new one.

Sorry I did not elaborate on this further from the client perspective. The
clients are all behind a Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL router. If you can shed
some more light with this additional information, that would be great.

I would check the specs of that device. I haven't used it, but it fits
into the group which have the problem I described.
