Range of wireless router/acces

Hi All




I heard the wildest story's about the maximum distance between wireless
acces point and PC going from 5 ft max in a living room up to 100 ft on the
box of some acces points.
Can you guys please give a realistic idea.
My max distance between acces point and PC is 35 ft in one room and the
other PC is on the first floor.

I assure you, you haven't heard the wildest stories yet. Up to twenty
miles (sometimes much more) is a more realistic maximum. 35' in your
house shouldn't be a problem if you don't have lots of metal in the
walls and floors in between or a lot of other gadgets sending out radio
frequency interference. The cheaper you go usually means less performance.
