Hi all,

I have a Windows XP machine operating as a file server, and need to
add redundancy. I need a good PCI RAID 1 card with support for
bootable arrays. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am willing to
entertain both high and low end solutions although the more affordable
I can make this the easier it will be to pitch to my boss.

Thanks!

Thomas

Assuming you have SATA drives, in the low end there is
http://www.startech.com/item/PCISATA...-PCI-Card.aspx
and
http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/product...ntry/SAS-2405/

@ThePro

This is definitely a beginner's question but the Startech card is
hardware RAID, correct? I've come across a few cards which looked good
but were software RAID, and I do not yet know how to tell the
difference.

Thanks!
