Radius authentication not working

Hi!

We have a hardware VPN server which supports radius authentication. I point
it to our IAS server, make sure the encryption passwords match, etc. but I
can't seem to get our IAS Radius serveer to authenticate client requests.

Network monitor sees the radius access request. I can even see the username
attribute. But the IAS server does not respond at all and there are no
entries in the logs.

What am I missing?

George

Hi George --

What authentication method are you using? What version of Windows Server?

Have you changed the default connection request policy in IAS at all?

Are you performing authorization by group or user? How are the user account
dial-in properties in AD configured, to allow access or to control access
through remote access policy?

Did you configure logging in IAS? If so is there room on the hard disk for
the IAS log file? (If not, IAS will not process Access-Requests.)

Thanks for any additional information you can provide.
