Does anyone have experience with this set of antennas?
I am using a Linksys Wireless G system with four computer. One of them is
dropping connections because of distance quite often.
Any inside is appreciated.

I purchased and installed the antenna's and it has helped. I now get a 80%+
signal in my den where before it was less than 30%.

I had done some before and after tests using these antenna...and I had
posted my results in this group (A google search should produce the thread).

Bottom line - there was improvement. Now to what degree / extent depends on
each environment....i.e. my 60 yr old house with plaster walls may have
different conditions then a new drywalled house.

Routers have 2 antennas - do you have to replace both with a higher gain
duckie, or will simply one do (and diversity mode will select the one with
the stornger signal).

I replaced them both - since the Radio Shack kit comes with two.

Depending on the version of the unit - the antennas can be setup various
ways:

1) one for transmit, one for receive

2) diversity (which means each antenna acts as both - but the one with the
best signal will be used), etc.

3) I think there is a third - but the version of my WAP11's don't have this
config option with the SNMP admin tools (I think the USB tool does)..perhaps
someone else can comment.

I have the D-Link 614+ and my router also has 2 antennas, the newer
models only have one, I replaced both and the signal to my basement is
better. The router is on the 3rd floor with some major duct work and
piping in between.

Not ALL routers have 2 external antennas.
