I cant recall how to do this?.. but basically... if i have a folder.. or
maybe a share.. i'd like to set a GB limit on the folder, but not enforce it..
just force a message to pop up to the end user, saying the GB limit for this
folder has been met..

Anyone point me to the area in 2003 server where i would set this?

Cheers

Hello markm75,

If you use 2003 R2, then you have to configure it with the File Server Ressource
Manager.

If you use 2003 with Service Pack only, then you have to open the drive properties
and configure the qouta settings there.

Best regards

Hello markm75,

Check the event viewer for errors during the start of FSRM. You have installed
it via Add/Remove programs? Check that it is viewable under the installed
windows components.

Best regards

It shows up as an mmc component, it was installed via add/remove..

The event log (system) error is 7023: The File Server Resource
Manager service terminated with the following error:
File Server Resource Manager is not a valid Win32 application.

Thanks

Hello markm75,

Do you run 64bit or 32 bit version either of 2003 r2 or the disk from that
you install the FSRM? Maybe a version mismatch?
