I have small bus server 03 and have the server that has
two nic cards, one to LAN and the other to internet. The
question is that i have two comps on this server, i want
to add another computer but not add it as one of the 5
freebies i get. Do i need to add a computer to get this
new computer on the net, or can it bypass the server reg
and just get on the net? I do use auto DHCP from my
server but was just wondering, i'm assuming i need to add
the computer.

Thanks.

Shouldn't have to just set the pc to obtain IP address and DNS from DHCP
server. Unfortunately your DHCP server doesn't care whether it's a domain
member or not.

I think you are refering to CALs? Yes you need a license to cover each
user, or machine, depending on whether it is a "per user" or "per device"
license.

If the machine only needs Internet access, you do not need to add it to
the domain. And it doesn't really need a CAL. It doesn't even need to be a
Windows machine. A Mac or a Linux host can use the server for Internet
access via proxy or NAT (whichever you have configured on the sbs server.)
