Ideally, you would have set the desktop on the same room
with the MN500 and the modem, and wire them. For an
automatic install, you'll have to use the wired
connection anyway (after that you don't need to keep it
wired).
Otherwise, you can either get a USB adapter or a PCI card
(the PCI card requires to open the box and install it
physically -- so the USB adpater is easier). Another way
is to buy a PC Card adapter so you can use directly the
MN-520 (like in the laptop), but these adapters are as
expensive as a USB adapter.
You can download the drivers for the wireless card from
MS web site (go to microsoft and search for MN-500). You
can then set it up manually, or use the MN-500 CD to add
the additional software. If you want to, you can order a
new CD from MS (the phone is on the web site).
