Question on Trusts

We have a Win2k3 Network.
We have merged with another company that has a Win2k3 network.

We have setup a VPN between sites and can ping each side sucessfully.
Initially we need some connectivity between sites.
Eventually we will need to merge networks.

Until we merge networks...we need to link the two networks.
I know in the past we have used Domains and Trusts with Win2k but I see
Win2k3 has Sites and Services. To get the initial connectivity (security)
should we still be using Domains and Trusts or should we be using Sites and
Services.

My initial guess is that until the networks are merged we need to use
Domains and Trusts. Once the networks are merged we can use Sites and
Services....is this correct?

Thank You

That is basically the case. Sites look after things like ensuring that
the clients at a site use a local DC for login rather than using one at the
other end of a WAN link.
