Can someone help me understand some information about NLB withen Windows 2003?
Question 1: Can I get a better explination on what UNICAST & Multicast
options are? I sit here and read the docs and I am still not very clear on
which would be better for my situation.
Question 2: How can I set the system up so when it gets a request via Port
ohh 80/443 it comes into 1 IP... But when it goes to talk to say a DB server
it goes out a Dedicated IP/Adapter not the NLB IP/Adapter? But then responds
to the client that came in 80/443 from the NLB IP/Adapter? Does that make
sense or do I need to explain it better??
Question 3: When I setup NLB to NLB just Port 80/443 with 80 with No
Affinity & 443 with Single Affinity... when the server gets a connection to
the NLB IP and it is talking to a none NLB Port/Protocal what happens??
If someone can please help me understand these questions and just more about
the NLB system overall it will greatly be appricated.
Thanks,
Billy S.
