Question on DHCP relay agent positioning

hi,

Could someone confirm my understanding?
DHCP relay agents are only needed on the _client_ subnets. DHCP relay agent
does not need to be installed on the subnet where the DHCP server exists.

Yes, you're right.
Because some old routers do not support bootp, dhcp request will not pass
from the clients subnets to the dhcp service subnet.
Then dhcp relay agent will listening that broadcasts to talk with dhcp and
give ip configuration to the client.
