How do I set up my Linksys BEFSR41 ver 2 Router (firmware1.44.2) to allow me
to be a 'server' or 'host' during online gaming.
I like to play my brother who is about 1100miles away and also let others on
the Internet join in.
I don't plan on having my PC acting like a 'server' all the time, just when
I want to play.
I tried the Linksys site. Still not clear.
Do I have to 'Forward' the port (27960) used by Quake and also go to the DMZ
and put in my PC's IP address?
How about 'Port Triggering', do I need to do that to.
Win98SE
Two PCs sharing cable connection to the Internet with no file sharing
between them.
Motorola SurfBoard4200 modem.
NIC's.
Thanks
