Hello All,

I am running quake3 point relase 1.32-3.x86
behind a nat gateway setup on linux. the
gateway is forwarding the following ports
to the internal quake3 box:

ports 27960-28000 tcp and udp
ports 27660 tcp and udp

I am also starting q3a with

quake3 +set net_port 27660

For some reason, if I create a multiplayer
game and hit "Fight" the game loads to the
point of dropping my player on the map, but
it freezes right there. No network activity,
no keyboard action, no console, no nuttin.

running snort, I can see a whole slew of
traffic going over the wire and being forwarded
from the gateway box. 27660 and 27960 both get
a lot of traffic up till the game loads the first
scene on the map.

I can also start a single player game and it
all runs fine as long as I stay out of multiplayer.

Anyone know whats up here?

Thanks for your time,
bl8n8r

Sounds like you may be running an Nvidia card and the newest drivers to me
try an older driver like 45.23 or something and I bet it rocks on then
