QoS monitoring

Hello
I'v got a question to You:
how do you monitor or measure QoS parmeters in your networks?
I mean what tools do yuo use? What software or hardware solutions are
useful:
i'm especialy asking about CISCO's NAM and mybe other tools for eg. linux.
