For a long time I have tried getting a wifi gateway up and running on
my ubuntu-server. With Squid, squidGuard, dhcp, iptables and an extra
nic for my wifi ap I have almost gotten it to work, but haven't found
an easy way to administer it.
Then I found ZoneCD from
http://www.publicip.net/. It took shorter
time to setup the distribution correctly than it took to hook up the
computer it runs on.
I didn't really want to use a separate computer for this, but
considering how easy the setup was, it was worth it.
Make yourself a hotspot too, install ZoneCD.
PS! I am not affiliated with PublicIP in any way. I am just a happy
user that loves their product.
