Hi, I have a 2003 AD domain, with AD-integrated DNS and DHCP. I recently
added a new subnet as we were topping out the old one, call them
192.168.10.0/24, and the new one is 192.168.20.0/22.
I created a new DHCP scope (not with a superscope) to allocate addresses
in the new subnet, which works fine.
Issue 1: However, it seems that the DHCP-allocated addresses in the new
subnet do not appear in the reverse zone,DNS, though fixed addresses,
with their manually created A records, do.
Issue 2: I created a Reverse Zone in the DNS for the 192.168.20.0/22 but
no PTRs showed up. When I created A records with 192.168.23.252, they
showed up only when I created another reverse zone of 23.168.192. Why is
that? Shouldn't it recognize that the 20 and 23 is the same subnet?

Any help afforded will be appreciated.

Max
