i configed home network wizard for internet connection
sharing so i can network my ps2 via my ethernet card. my
pc is setup on a HPNA converted to USB. which explains
the open ethernet card. i've called my isp and they said
the ics config should work. this is were i become lost..
i've read in an old post that "ICSClient" should be
running on my pc but i checked msconfig/startup and
nothing is listed of such. i also dont know what to do
with all these mac and ip addresses, ugh! what else am i
supposed to do to get my pc to share internet with my ps2
through my network card?? it may seem crazy but this is
the only setup that works for me, and my budget! thanks
for any advice.

By "ps2", do you mean a Sony Playstation 2? You can't connect the PS2
network adapter to the HPNA with the phone port; it is a modem connection,
not a TCP/IP port. You need some way of connecting the Ethernet port on the
PS2 to your HPNA.

If you can make that connection, the PS2 should be able to automatically
detect the ICS gateway computer, and obtain the necessary configuration to
operate.

Your PC would be host not client.
If you have an open card it should work. You will need a crossover
cable to connect. You can't use a plain cat5 unless you have a hub.
