Proxypass alternative?

I am currently using linux and apache to route external web traffic
that comes to my 1 IP to internal IPs of various web servers. I do
this using proxypass directive for apache:

What I want to know is, are there other dumb devices that do this? I
don't want to purchase additioanl IPs and I'd like to have a device
with fewer moving parts that can do the same thing (e.g. a router or
firewall device).

So don't do it. What's the problem in using Name Based Virtual Hosts?

Or, use Name Based Virtual Hosts WITH ProxyPass (if you want your
various web servers to remain internal).

Just place the relevant ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse directive
withing the scope of the VirtualHost directives.
