Hi.
Does anyone know how to configure a Windows Server 2008 to run as a web
proxy?

There has never been a web proxy built into the Server OS. You need to
install either Microsoft or third party proxy software.

Hello Auxiliaire,

As said yesterday, no proxy or web proxy is included in windows server versions
except the SBS version. You have to use ISA server or 3rd party like SQUID
for example, is free.

I've already installed ISA Server but... no results... It says I don't have
any IP number assigned. I have the IP number assigned only for the network
card, but not for the USB modem (I can't indeed, because I can't connect to
the provider with an IP... It's automatically assigned). I'm sorry... I'm
having a hard time with this server...

Hello Auxiliaire,

You didn't mention any problem, you asked for proxy server on windows. So
please describe your server configuration, especially the USBmodem part and
how you connect to the internet etc. Also what error message do you get.

Best regards

Hi Weber,

Thank you for your support. I don't get any message. The installation
process was ok. Everything seems to work well, but when I try to access web
pages using the proxy 172.16.0.1:8080 I don't get anything but a blank page.
I can send to your email the screenshots of my network configuration. Please
take a look...

I don't know if there is a conflict with the Routing and Remote Access
service... it's actually disabled.
