protocol failure in circuit set up

Hi,

I am trying to remote login to a computer. Remote computer has
/etc/hosts.equiv and this file has entry of my hosts.

Now when i try to rexec some command, it give me following error
poll: protocol failure in circuit set up

Any comments will be appreciated.
