Hi All,

I have installed Mandrake 10.1 on my Dell 700m Laptop. After
Installation my wireless card was automatically discoverd by the OS. I
did the configuration for Internet connection by providing the correct
ESSID, using DHCP etc.
The problem is I am unable to connect to the router using my laptop.
I do not know whats wrong. If anybody on this group faced similar
problems and can give some pointers to what might have gone wrong
Please let me know about.

TIA

If you could post information from ifconfig, iwconfig, route,
/proc/version, etc., that would help.

all security first. Ie, do not use any encryption.
Can your wireless see the router
iwlist s
can your wireless connect to the router. Remove the essid first to make
sure that it can connect to anything.

connected?

Nor do we. You have the laptop. You have to run the tests and tell us as
much information as you can.
