Problems Staying Connected

I installed a Philips USB network adapter on my pc running XP but I cannot
make it connect to the router. However when I install the
software that came with the 02 router it connects with a very good signal
but as soon as I turn the pc off it disconnects and I can’t get it back. The
only way I can reconnect is to uninstall and then re-install the 02 software.
Both 02 and Philips have tried to help and have exhausted all avenues. 02
have said that Philips should be able to tell me how to stop the adapter from
controlling the pc but Philips are unable to help with this. Does anyone
have any suggestions?
