Hi, hopefully someone can help me with this....
Eventually managed to set up my wireless modem router using a Belkin MIMO G
modem router. Connected to the internet with no problems...but unsecured.
Went into the modem settings and applied 128bit WEP. Connected to the
network using my laptop again with no problems. But now it won't connect to
the net. So how do I have it secure and connecting to the net?? Aargh!
Please help...

It sounds like you are not actually connected to me. Does your laptop use a
Belkin card or is it using a built-in wireless adapter? You might want to
try entering your password in the laptop as a hex value. See if this doesn't
help;

I had the same problem,so i did the following:

Security Mode- WPA/WPA2 - Personal(PSK)
Authentication- WPA/PSK
Encryption Technique - TKIP
Pre-Shared Key (PSK) - "your password"

Don't know how secure this is,but so far I've had no problems.
