I installed server 2003. For some reason over the network
my pc's can see the server. And get in on all the shares
just fine. The Pc's can see one another, but can't get
into the shares if I try to access it I get the following
message. "//machine is not accessible. you might not have
permission to use this network resource. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions. There are currently no logon servers
available to service the logon request." Does anyone know
what this means? I'm set up as administrator. I have
even tried to access the clients from the server loged in
as administrator and get the exact same message when I try
to goto the clients. The clients have a drive shared.
Does anyone have a clue? Please email me if you do.
Thanks

Are you running a domain? Are the client machines domain members?

If you are running a domain, any user with valid domain credentials can
access domain resources. If you are not running a domain setup, you need
valid credentials on the local machine to access its shares.
