Probably this is partly a vocabulary issue:
1. You cannot join a Win98 machine to a Win2003 domain. Only NT, 2000, XP
Pro, or other 2003 machines can do this.
2. However, if you have a domain user account, you can logon to a domain
from a Win98 machine. You configure this through Client for Microsoft
Networks - set this to log onto an NT domain - use only the NetBIOS name of
the domain - ie. NetBIOS name of mydomain.com = mydomain.
If you still have browsing problems after doing this:
1. Try turning off the MaintainServerList on the Win98 machine:
Use regedit and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\Vnetsetup
Set the value for MaintainServerList to NO
Or, in File and Printer Sharing configuration, I think you can set Master
Browser to disabled.
