Hey all
I just bought a Dlink router so that my wife's and my
computer can both access the internet at the sametime. I
also wanted to be able to share files and such back and
forth, and that is where the problem is. Both computers
can access the internet just fine, at the same time, but
they dont "see" each other on our supposed network. When I
click my network places, there is nothing listed there, and
when I click to view other computers in the workgroup it
gives me this message "workgroup is not accessible, you
might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions. The list of servers for this
workgroup is not currently available." Now I dont know if
this has anythig to do with my problem or not. I have run
the wizards for networks on both machines, they both have
the same workgroup name, and unique computer names...I just
don't know what to do next. Can anyone give me advice to
get this to work? It would be SOOO appreciated! Thanks in
advance!

You really need to post to one of the general networking newsgroups, like
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web if you're running Windows XP
computers. You might also look into information on some of the networking
web sites like www.practicallynetworked.com . This newsgroup supports
Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software only.
