I borrowed a friend's XP netbook to take with me on a trip so I would
not have to lug my heavy laptop on the trip. So I am setting it up to
use for email and web use on the trip.
My friend has it set up to connect through his own home wireless network.
I created a separate user account to not mess his up. How do I set
things up so it work on any network - as in hotels etc like my present
laptop does when I travel with it.
The netbook's ipconfig /all settings are as follows:
> Windows IP Configuration
>
> Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Serafina
> Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
> Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Unknown

> DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 64.83.1.10

1. What should I change - and how?
2. Will this mess his settings for him?
Thanks for any help.
