Hi. I'm having several problems that I haven't been able
to solve, and found this newsgroup during my search for
fixes. I hope someone here can help me.
First of all, there is some sort of conflict in the Shared
Printers. The main problem is with a printer connected to
the accounting computer. I am trying to get another system
connected to it through the network, and can gain a
connection through the network administrator login. After
a few hours, though, access is denied to it, and I have to
manually go back into the network and reconnect to it.
Also, there has been a problem when users try to connect
to the internet via MSN. As soon as a connection is made,
a dialog box appears informing the user that the computer
is in the shutdown process and counts down 45 seconds. The
process can be aborted using the command 'shutdown -a' but
following that, all login information is removed (in the
task manager, the User ID is displayed as {Unknown}) and
the user is denied access to everything, including the
Start > Shut Down option.
I have run several virus scans and Blaster worm fixes, but
the problems still persist. Does anyone know how to cure
this? Please e-mail
(E-Mail Removed) if you do.
Thank you,
Steve Melcher
