Problems with Belkin wireless desktop adaptor

I am trying to install a Belkin wireless adaptor in my daughter's PC. But I
can't get it to connect to my wireless network.

My home network uses BT Broadband, shared with BT's Voyager modem/router.

Both my own desktop PC and my wife's laptop connect OK.

I installed a new hard drive in her PC and had to re-install all of the
hardware. I accidentally installed the Belkin software with the adaptor
installed in the machine (the manual tells you to insert the adaptor after
the software has been installed - these older Belkin cards appear to be very
sensitive about this).

I have now removed the software and removed the card and then re-installed
software followed by card but I still can't connect to my network using
either Belkin or Windows to control the adaptor. Both programs see the
wireless network but can't connect.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 on an Athlon 2000 PC with 512Mb RAM.

Cheers.

Bobby

Bobby,
I suggest you download the American driver from the Belkin website run
the installation programme and restart the computer. You should be
able to connect to the network. Dont forget you may have encrypted the
network it in which case you may need to input the key.

Cheers Clem. That worked fine.

God help ordinary users.
