Hello
I experiment problems with my wireless PCcard Notebook adaptor Linksys
WPC54G.
After about an hour, my signal gets weaker and disappears. More, it seems
that this adaptor mobilizes all the resources of my laptop and never give
them back. I get unable to launch any new application or to use any function
of any open application until I take the PCcard off. Even like that, I'm not
able to find back my resources and I cannot use the wireless connection
again if I reinsert the PC card. I've to reboot. It seems that the ARP cache
doesn't get empy.
Linksys was unable to give me any useful information. I even don't count
anymore the number of times I have uninstalled then reintalled the card and
drivers.
I tried the PCcard adaptor of Netgear (WG511), but the problem is the same
with this one.
I also want to specify that all drivers are as recent as possible, that I do
not use WEP encryption, that my machine is a Dell Inspiron 8200 equipped
with an Intel CPU 1.6 GHz running Windows XP.
It seems that some other people I know experimented the same kind of
problem.
Has anybody an idea?
Thanks in advance.
Philippe
