we have configured a vlan 602 to be used with a restricted ssid
Employee

this particular portion of the config in user-distribution(UD) switch
that connects to a dedicated wireless access switch was posing a
problem .

interface Vlan602
description Udc-WA/10.8.205.0/255.255.255.0/602
ip address 10.8.205.5
255.255.255.0---------------------------------------------------------
problem
ip helper-address 10.8.58.36
ip helper-address 10.8.53.25
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
ip pim sparse-mode
load-interval 60
arp timeout 28800
standby 1 ip 10.8.205.1------------------------------problem
standby 1 timers msec 500 2
standby 1 priority 200
standby 1 preempt delay minimum 60
standby 1 track GigabitEthernet1/1 40
standby 1 track GigabitEthernet1/2 40
!
any user trying to connect to wifi using ssid Employee(associated with
vlan 602) was not getting any ip from DHCP server.

however when we did this it worked

interface Vlan602
description Udc-WA/10.8.205.0/255.255.255.0/602
ip address 10.8.205.1
255.255.255.0---------------------------------------------------------
made the ip address same as
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
default-gateway which was also
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the standby ip
ip helper-address 10.8.58.36
ip helper-address 10.8.53.25
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
ip pim sparse-mode
load-interval 60
arp timeout 28800
----------------------------------------------------------removed
this line
standby 1 timers msec 500 2
standby 1 priority 200
standby 1 preempt delay minimum 60
standby 1 track GigabitEthernet1/1 40
standby 1 track GigabitEthernet1/2 40
!

any solutions to this problem?
we cannot keep the interface ip same as tht of th default gateway
