I have the MN-700 base sation and MN-720 adapter, for
some reason when I configure the base station I can't get
the adapter to connect. The WEP string is the same on
both, but I get an error that its inconsistent. I'm
running XP with SP1. Any suggestions?

Are you using Windows XP's wireless zero configuration to configure
the wireless and WEP? Use that and not the wizard utility.

What is the Window's XP's wireless zero config and how
can I use it to config my network? I am having the same
problem with my 520 to 500. Thanks

Thank you Barb. Your article helped a lot; even with
some other issues. My laptop's WEP is still not
connecting with my Base Station's even though they are
the same Key. Can you give me more advice please.

try a completely different WEP key as a test. enter it manually in the
base station and print it out or copy to the clipboard and save as a
txt file. then enter it manually in the laptop.

Barb, Tried that, too. No avail. Everything else is
running fine. Do you think downloading the update would
help me? The last time I did, I had to end up
reinstalling MSBN on both my laptop and desktop just to
get it to work again, but at this point, I'll try it.
Thanks

Yes! Please try that. If this does not work, please give product
support a call.
