Problem with turuemovil 1300 and netgear router

I have a Dell D800 with the truemovil onboard wireless card. I also
have a netgear wireless router. I have no problem connecting
wirelessly with another laptop, but this dell one does not connect;
does not even detect any signal. Any ideas? I pretty much tried all
sorts of combination of configurations, but no luck.
