When you go to http:\\
www.mydomain.com you are prompted for credentials to access your router right? What is the IP Address that is returned if you
ping
www.mydomain.com? I am sure that this is returning the IP Address of your router right??
I would check the forward lookup zone for your active directory domain and see where the www record in the zone mydomains.com is pointing to and
change it to point to the internal address of your server.
Can you access the web page simply by typing in the internal IP address of the server? Can you access the web site by typing in the short computer
name of this server?
It sounds like a name resolution issue. Point you internal clients to the internal DNS Server and make sure that the record for the
www.mydomains.com
resource points to the correct server.
