problem sovlved

I asked a couple of months ago why my home lan didnt work.

Broadband-router-16 port hub....all machines internet etc no problem, around
the house fine, some driect from hub and some router....just would not talk
to each other yet pinged fine each other. No one could came up with a
solution.

I changed the hub just now and hey presto they all talked to each other
instantly......i dont know what the problem was. anyone?

Local firewalls on each PC?

no. the set up worked fine for years then just didnt. of course i have
firewalls but each computer had access but crashed when i looked at NN, now
they dont, all dont to hub
