Okay, I have a new problem. I have two computers each with
internet sharing installed. The connection, which is qwest
dsl, works, but is very, very slow. I have run diagnostics
on my ethernet card and it is fine. I went to check my
network settings. There was no Sharing button under the
connections tab. I ran help, which told me to extract
inetcpl.cpl and inetdplc.dll off of my WinME CD.
inetcpl.cpl worked just fine, but inetdplc.dll does not
exist on my computer or the CD. It tells me to check my
gateway settings. In IP configuration, there is an IP
address in the Default Gateway box. I was told to remove
any gateways on my computer (Control Panel > Network >
etc.) There are no gateways added to my computer. The
other computer on the network is working just fine. I have
a Linksys ethernet card and my other computer has an HP.
PLEASE HELP ME!!

Internet sharing should only be installed on one PC, not both.

If your problem is speed, visit www.dslreports.com/tweaks and run the tweak
tester and do what it suggests.

Hope this helps,
Carey

I know. That's why I recommended you download the 'tweak thing.'
