problem with a service

hi
I can't start the service "winmgmt"
It fails at click start,
and then the system automatically stops
"Utilities Manager" service ....

i don't understand what is happening
i get an error like: "service is not runnig or needed services are not
running"

and get the same error
when i click dependecies tab in every service

and the same message appears when
system starts, at event viewer, for "winmgmt" service

as if this was little,
the application "Computer Management"
from controPanel/adminTools/, does not run:
i press double click on it and i get nothing.... it never opens

it was a clean installation of w2000 adSr
the problem was not solved
after install w2000 sp4

i had to set manually
the path for the TfxAux.DLL
at the PATH environment variable
to the path: "c:\winnt\system32\ServicePackFiles\i386"
where is placed that DLL

now works fine
