Problem seeing folders on W2K server

We have a SBS 4.5 server with a W2K server on the same network. Been
running this same config for about a year. Late last week we noticed some
of the folders on the W2K servers data drive were not showing up depending
on how you are viewing the server, through a mapped drive vs. through My
Network. Any idea why this would be? It should not be a permissions issue
since I logged onto the server as Admin and while on the server looking at
the local drive, My Computer was not showing all of the folders but if I
went through Network Places I could see the missing folders. I then created
a new share for that drive and now I can not see those folders regardless of
how I view it.

Any ideas?
Steve

Are these folders hidden? That would explain not being able to see them
through My Computer or through a mapped network drive, and at the same time
you could see them through My Network Places if they have been published to
the Active Directory. Because the shared resources as they appear in My
Network Places aren't the resources themselves, but simply reference objects
created in Active Directory, they can be visible in that context, despite the
fact that the folders they reference are in fact hidden. Please let me know
if this is the case. Duke
