Hi all,

I am not able to access a Win2003 server via remote desktop. Other 2003
servers are OK. The connection is OK and it seemed that I was able to log on
and a message box displayed "applying your settings". Right after the
message box turned to "saving your settings" and the windows closed. There
was no logs at all. Anyone has experienced this issue?

Greatly appriciated,

GG

But my problem only happend via Remote Desktop. No problem at the
interactive logon. And no problems in other Win2003 servers (installed from
the same CDROM).

Any ideas appreciated.

Can you log on to the server while at the console? If yes
then the account you're using under Remote Desktop
may have insufficient access rights to
%SystemRoot%\system32\userinit.exe. If no then
Martin's suggestion will probably fix the problem.

Solved the problem. The stupid Nvidia display service issued. No problem
after I disabled it.

I've seen this with the nVidia helper app, disabling it in services has
helped
