This maybe a question not for this group, but could not put it in any so
have understanding.

On my win 2000 server i hava a web server which is connected to a
application server and sends requests on port 9080.
For some reason the port seems to close after some time, and the web server
cannot send requests to the web server. I have been able to see that the web
server is active, as well as the applicaion server.

Is there a way to see why the port would close, some diagnostic tool to
recommend, i would be grateful.

thx

Keep alive is configured. The ports are opend, for some time (2-3 days), and
then they just close for no reason. I have some logs of seccessful and
unseccsessful traffic that i can send you if you have the time?
