I recently purchased and installed a linsys wireless g
network card in my laptop which is a ibm thinkpad 765d. i
am running windows 98 second edition and i get a message
of irq steering disabled code 29. it will not let me
update driver, it continues to say same thing. does anyone
know what my problem is and if so what can i do to fix it?

A few options:
1. Try unchecking automatic settings for resources in the properties of the
network card and select and IRQ that's unused on the system.
2. Contact Linksys to see if they ahve seen this before and if they have a
solution
3. Disable IRQ steering and try it.
4. If it's USB adapter, try a PCCard wireless NIC.
